Random Bead Notes From the Bead World Found Along the Two LaneWe loaded up, hitched up and pulled out on an RV Walkabout in September of 2010. The four of us, me, Heidi, Lily and the old bald guy have been yondering ever since... with no end in sight! ;) After 15 years of runnin' the store Miss Heidi needed herself a Bead World break. The first year out she didn't hardly pick up a needle or a bead. How-some-ever, lookin' back over our travels I've discovered that once we got into the second year on the road Heidi kinda got her second wind and is now back to her bead-a-holic ways. She's been producing some awesome fine art specimens of Bead Embroidery.
She's getting into wire wrapping, wire rings, and now, cabochon making. Just 'bout ever' town we roll through, she's once again firin' up that smart phone of hers and finding the bead shops and such to scout out. Her success at finding interesting bits has got to the point where we may have to find us a bigger rig to hold the cases of her expanding personal bead collection... not to mention the tools! The old bald guy just shakes his head and naps in the truck when she asks; "Does he want to go in?" Either me or that Old guy will be scribblin' up the stories, from her bead notes, of some of the bead world happenings she finds along our Yondering, RV Walkabout way, and we'll be posting 'em here. Check in here when you're of a mind and see where she's took us... but... shhhhhh... don't tell that old cowboy biker I said that! We still let him think he steers the truck. |
