Swarovski Crystals, Semi-precious stone, Metal, Wood and Bone; Millefiori, Dichroic Glass, Pressed Glass, Cloisonne and Fire-polished... the list of possible choices goes on and on. ... The profusion of sizes, shapes, colors and materials, in which these gems are created, feeds the hunger of the growing artist... until they too can count themselves among the ranks of Bead-a-holics Unanimous! :-) Something about the craft flows out and entwines itself into your artistic spirit... to the point that each time you pass through a new town on your travels... ...looking for a restaurant or a gas station when you cross the city limits is not your first action... ...you start looking for the local Bead Shop! The draw of the art hasn't endured for 100,000 years from lack of durability! Finding examples of various forms, 600 years old, is nigh on to common! You start putting small dressers in your closets, boxes under beds... cases in cabinets... to hold an ever expanding collection of man made glass and stone jewels... you begin finding tiny Delicas, pressed into your husbands behind when he gets up from his chair... salting the carpet in your car... rolling around the kitchen floor... You start finding small bags you'd forgotten in your purse... More!... I've got to have more! :-) It could be worse couldn't it? After all, is filling your life with the Beauty and Creativity of these glittering gems so bad? :-) ... and even your hubby will forgive you for the glittering Delica stuck to his behind, when you present him with the Hat Band you were making for him.
